No sign-up, so nothing to store

MarginWorkshop has no login, no password, no email capture anywhere on it. Without an account there's nothing to attach a history to, so we keep no record of who ran which numbers or when. Everything else below follows from that one design choice.

My Operation is yours, not ours

Values worth reusing across engines, loaded labor rate, target margin, and similar, can be saved under "My Operation" so you skip retyping them. That save lands in your browser's own local storage on your device. MarginWorkshop keeps no copy, no backup, and has no way to see it. Clear your browser's site data for this domain and it's gone for good. Nothing here is required; every field also takes a fresh, one-time entry.

The math itself never leaves your tab

Base wage, crew size, bid price, every field on every engine is computed in your browser, not on a server. Close the tab without saving to My Operation and the entry is gone for good, MarginWorkshop never received a copy in the first place.

Analytics and hosting

We use Google Analytics to understand overall site traffic. It sets one first-party cookie to count visits and tell repeat visits apart. We have turned off all of Google's advertising features, so no advertising cookies are set and your activity is not used to target ads or tracked across other websites. If you are in a region that requires opt-in consent for analytics cookies, such as the EU, UK, EEA, or Switzerland, no analytics cookie is set at all, and Google Analytics runs in a cookieless mode that counts visits without storing anything on your device. Everywhere else the single analytics cookie is on by default and you can decline it or clear it at any time. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out everywhere.

The other thing that happens automatically is the ordinary server logging any host performs, MarginWorkshop runs on Cloudflare, which keeps standard logs (IP address, requested pages) to deliver the site and block abuse. That's infrastructure housekeeping, not a profile built on visitors.
