Where your numbers go (nowhere)
Short version: there's no server-side database behind MarginWorkshop, no sign-up, and nothing collected that identifies you. The rest of this page fills in the specifics.
Nothing you type leaves your device
Base wage, crew size, bid price, every field on every engine is computed right there in your browser tab. MarginWorkshop never receives it, stores it, or logs it. Close the tab and it's gone, unless you've saved it to My Operation, covered below.
My Operation lives in browser storage, not on our servers
Values you're likely to reuse across engines, loaded labor rate, target margin, and similar, can be saved under "My Operation" so you skip retyping them. That save goes into your browser's own local storage on your device. MarginWorkshop has no copy of it, no backup, and no way to see it. Clear your browser's site data for this domain and it's gone for good. Nothing here is required; every field also accepts a fresh, one-time entry.
No accounts means no records to keep
There's no sign-up flow, no password, no email capture anywhere on the site. Without an account there is nothing to attach a history to, so MarginWorkshop keeps no log of who ran which numbers or when.
Analytics and hosting
No analytics or tracking script runs on this site today. If that changes, this page gets updated first, describing exactly what's collected and how to turn it off. The one thing that does happen automatically is the ordinary server logging any host performs, MarginWorkshop runs on Cloudflare, which keeps standard logs (IP address, requested pages) to deliver the site and block abuse. That's infrastructure housekeeping, not a profile built on visitors.
